Parent Network of WNY has been named a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) by VESID. A TAC is a local organization which offers specific expertise in an area such as education, health or mental health that provides technical assistance services in the normal course of operation.

The State Education Department may contract with a TAC in instances where it has neither the expertise nor the capacity to provide such services. In order to contract, the Department must determine that the services the TAC can provide are necessary to achieve the goals and standards set by the Commissioner and the Board of Regents.
