Workshops

July 23 Special Education Overview (Niagara Falls) - Come to this workshop and learn about developing an IEP, the roles of the members of the CSE/CPSE, including your role as a parent, and the special education process.

July 31 Special Education Overview (Buffalo) - Come to this workshop and learn about developing an IEP, the roles of the members of the CSE/CPSE, including your role as a parent, and the special education process.

August 7 Autism Conference (Buffalo) - This is a full-day conference featuring workshops on the following topics: overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication strategies and behavior concerns.

August 11 Resolving Behavior Challenges in Autism (Wellsville) - Learn more about ways to assess challenging behaviors and discover strategies to decrease inappropriate behaviors.  Understand how to conduct a functional behavior assessment (FBA) and how to develop a behavior intervention plan based on the FBA.

August 18 Special Education Overview (Buffalo) - Come to this workshop and learn about developing an IEP, the roles of the members of the CSE/CPSE, including your role as a parent, and the special education process.

Community

Buddy Walk of Buffalo/Niagara - A walk to help raise positive community awareness about the potential of people with Down syndrome.  Coordinated by The Family and Friends Down Syndrome Association of Niagara County, Inc.
