Medicaid Service Coordination (MSC) is a Medicaid State Plan Service administered by the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). MSC assists people with developmental disabilities in gaining access to necessary services and supports to help them lead successful lives in the community according to their own needs and desires.
How Can Medicaid Service Coordination Help You?
Through MSC, a person with a developmental disability works in partnership with a qualified service coordinator to develop and maintain a personalized plan designed to meet his or her own needs and desires. The focus of MSC is on assisting people to achieve their unique goals such as having a home, a job, a circle of friends, enjoyable leisure activities, and obtaining various services and supports.
